I had the ultimate test the other day
I was at my lad's footy training, and somebody asked what I did.
When I explained that I am a Life Coach, her 9-year old turned around and asked, ‘What do you mean, life coach?’
See, you may think you can explain your job, but until you've explained it to a 9-year old, you never truly know.
I gave it my best shot:
“I help people feel great about themselves so they can achieve their goals and live a life that makes them happy.”
I waited tensely
She smiled
I smiled
She said, ‘That’s weird,’ turned around, and carried on watching the football.
I was happy enough with that response 😎
So... Could you do it?
If a 9 year old asked you what your life was about, what you were trying to achieve in the world, or why you did what you did on a daily basis, would you be able to answer them?
Would you answer them with confidence and a smile, or stumble through your answer with uncertainty?
Food for thought.
For me? Well, if you want to ‘feel great about yourself so you can achieve your goals and live a life that makes you happy’, I may be the person for you 😜
