Don't Change Your Career, to Change Your Career

You might not need to change your career to change your career.

What?

Sometimes when I speak to clients, they’ll tell me they’re thinking about leaving their current job because they aren’t enjoying it anymore.

Fair point.

But when I asked them why they started their in the first place, they’ll often tell me all the great things that attracted them to that work in the first place.

I see the look on their face as if to say, “Oh yeah, I forgot I enjoyed that part of it.”

Like a couple who remember the good qualities they’d taken for granted in their partner.

Sometimes, having an external voice that shifts your perspective is all it takes for you to change the trajectory of your career.

It’s why I include it as part of my Three Circles Framework when I work with clients.

It generates so many ‘ah ha!’ moments; they’re always beautiful to watch!
